Here at Sunbreak Student Ministries, we have the place for you! It's a place where you can be yourself. A place where you can serach for the answers to your questionsalong with students just like you. A place where you can be loved and accepted as you grow. It's a place called Journey!
Journey is the name of our main teen ministry that meets on Wednesday nights at Mark and Tifaney Pruitt's house. A typical night at Journey involves lots of fun stuff as well as plenty help for your own spiritual journey. Keep reading to see how it all breaks down!
Friends, Food, And Fun (6:15 - 6:45)
We open the house at 6:15 PM for students to hang out by playing basketball, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, X-Box/PS2/Wii, or just to chill out talking. Grab a snack, meet some new people, or join in a video game tournament to win some cool prizes!
The Meeting (6:45 Pm - 8:15 PM)
Starting at 6:45 we crank up some great group games to help break the ice. Sometimes they are messing, sometimes they are crazy, but they are always fun! After that is over, grab a seat in the living room as we worship God through music led by members of our student band. When they finish up, we dig into the lesson for the night. Lessons are different each week depending on what we are studying. Sometimes we talk all together. Sometimes we break into groups. Sometimes it is serious, sometimes it is all about fun. But no matter what we do, we try to relate what God's word say's to thereal issues teens face in their daily lives.
Wrap Up (8:15 PM - 8:30 PM)
After the lesson ia over, students hang out for 15 or 20 minutes while they wait on their rides. This is another great chance to meet new people or just chill out together.
